Doug brings his extensive amount of experience in construction management to gBuild Construction Managers. Before starting his own company Doug was Director of the Philadelphia Division of a mid size construction management firm. Doug is LEED Accredited Professional and Green Advantage Commercial Certified and has mentored many others with the accreditation process. He holds a Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Delaware where he was president of Chi Epsilon – the National Civil Engineering Honor Society. He is on the Philadelphia AIA Healthcare Committee and has been recognized by the Subcontractors Association of the Delaware Valley as Project Manager of the Year. His commitment and interest in Sustainable Building is demonstrated with his Faculty teaching position with Green Advantage. Doug’s long dedicated history in the construction industry have focused on projects in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Healthcare, Higher Education and Corporate Markets.
Chief Financial Officer
David Berlin brings formidable finance experience providing accounting and consulting services to private middle market entities. David started his career at a regional accounting firm before working with a large international accounting firm. David has also worked in the private sector as a Controller for various entrepreneurial enterprises. David is a diversified financial leader with broad exposure in emerging growth companies, family owned business and start-up organizations. David has extensive experience in various industries including construction, software development, IT recruiting and consulting. David holds a Business degree from the University of Delaware as well as a Masters of Science Degree in Accounting from The State University of New York at Albany.
Director of Operations
With experience working for some of the regions distinguished Construction Firms in roles of increasing responsibilities, John brings over a decade of experience to gBuild Construction Managers. He holds a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and his interest in sustainability and sustainable construction practices will support gBuild’s commitment to Green Building. John’s experience includes significant Healthcare, Pharmaceutical and Higher Education projects including MRI and Gamma Knife Installations, Vivarium, R&D and Clinical Packaging Facilities, and Higher Education Facilities including those supporting Athletic, Classroom, and Research functions. John’s role at gBuild includes both Pre-Construction and Project Management responsibilities.
Taylor Van Duyn
Assistant Project Manager
From field and project management coordination to budgeting and purchasing, Taylor’s construction management background provides gBuild a valued variety of support. Her Prolog Converge expertise and jobsite safety training background are formidable contributions. Taylor holds a BS in Construction Engineering and Management from Purdue University.
Eric brings his experience in construction management to gBuild. Eric has worked managing various accounts and providing field services for construction projects. Eric possesses a wide range of skills from scheduling and coordination to quality control and safety. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from West Virginia University.
Michael J. Reen
Mike joins gBuild with twenty-plus years of experience as a Project Superintendent including the coordination of trades and the management of subcontractors ensuring that all construction milestones are met. He has extensive management experience in all types of construction from higher education to healthcare. Mike strives to ensure that each project is completed safely, provides client satisfaction and is completed on-time and under budget.
