Villanova University – Bartley Hall – Multiple Projects
Commons Area/Student Classrooms & Study/Dean’s Suite
The University envisioned bringing together the multiple study, student lounge, Clay center and office suites separated by masonry walls, opening up the area to give a sense of encompassing uniformity.
- Upgraded finishes included all new floor to ceiling glass walls, sliding telescopic glass wall system in the business school main conference room. Class room glass walls included double glazed wall panels with interior of panels laminated/coated with white to allow for use as whiteboards.
The existing hollow metal/glass system in Lobby Stair Tower was removed and replace with concealed, automatic sliding fire shutter door.
- Outlying classrooms, private studies, conference rooms and offices were brought into open-space flow with demolition of existing masonry walls and replaced with glass partitions. Finishes and other materials were also made more uniform to add to congruency.
