Gbuild was referred to Boas Vision Associates by the architect to manage the preconstruction and construction of a new, larger facility for their 30+ year old family practice.  The goal was to create a facility that presented a better experience for their clients by increasing the number of exam rooms, expanding the retail space and creating a separate space for their growing vision therapy practice.

Preconstruction and Construction Management

Solution:

The initial plan was to renovate and extend the footprint of the building while the building was occupied. After preliminary review, Gbuild offered an alternate plan to temporarily relocate the practice to a vacant medical office building nearby and to completely demolish the existing building and construct a completely new, state of the art facility.  This plan was accepted and reduced construction costs by $300,000. and reduced the construction schedule by 3 months, all while navigating the supply chain issues and price constraints imposed by the COVID pandemic.
