Guest Lecturer for University of Delaware College of Engineering
Doug Gianforte, President of Gbuild and alumni of University of Delaware College of Engineering and 2019 Civil & Environmental Engineering Outstanding Alumni, was asked to speak to the Introduction to Construction Engineering and Management students at UD. Doug has been a guest lecturer for the freshman class since the inception of the CEM program 3 years ago – offering his insights as a former UD student, a look into his career path, and what lead him to start Gbuild Construction Managers over 10 years ago. This year, over a Zoom call, Doug touched on his experience which includes over 100+ projects completed on UD’s campus. Students were able to ask questions and hopefully see how what they are learning in class can apply to their careers after they graduate. In addition to providing support to the program, Doug and his wife Jan have also been sponsors of the CEM summer research fellows at UD.
