A Look Inside Gbuild’s Bidding Process
Each time we bid a project, it is our responsibility to carefully look at the specific needs of our client and match it closely to the strengths of our various trade partners. Our prequalification process with subcontractors allows us to select those firms that are best suited for the specific project whether it be based on the size of the project, the industry, speed of delivery or other factors.
One major advantage for us is our utilization of Procore’s ‘Bidding’ tool. We use Procore to solicit bid invites from our hand-picked list of pre-qualified bidders. Procore allows us to send invites to vendors and keep them up-to-date on the latest contract documents and changes. This software tracks intent-to-bid and bid responses, allowing us to put together the most competitive bid package to our clients.
Additional advantages for the entire team when using Procore in the bidding process include the ability to markup drawings, version control of drawings and addendums, and communicating those changes directly to trade partners and vendors. Automated reminders keep everyone informed on upcoming due dates.
