DCA CONSTRUCTION EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2020
Gbuild is honored to again receive two Construction Excellence Awards from the Delaware Contractors Association. These awards are to recognize projects that bring distinction, skill, quality, and integrity to the construction industry in Delaware. Gbuild won awards for our work at the University of Delaware The Nest and Esports Arena.
On The Nest, Gbuild worked closely with the team at the University of Delaware, RG Architects, Fayda Engineering, and e2 Engineering to provide major renovations and upgrades to the student lounge and café inside Morris Library. Renovation plans included new storefront, bathrooms, kitchen equipment, HVAC and Electrical infrastructure upgrades, lounge seating, gas fireplace, and other food service stations. This project required attention to detail and coordination to complete while the library was open and in full operation and within the given timeframe. Read more about this project here.

For UD’s Esports Arena, the goal was to create a state-of-the art gaming space and do so on a fast tracked timeline. Gbuild worked closely with Scott Payette Architects, DEDC, and the UD team from design to finish, providing budget updates continuously to help keep the project on track. The space is home to the newest gaming technology, a broadcast booth, a strategy room, completion stage and a new IT room to support the technology. Read more about this project here.
