Employee Highlight – Eric Dukes
Eric Dukes joined the Gbuild team in 2013 as a Project Superintendent. Eric has been responsible for the success of many of Gbuild’s high profile projects. He is adaptable and personable, easily becoming a vital team member for many clients. Eric takes a special interest in our team safety protocols, spearheading the annual updates of our safety manual and training.
“Eric has the unique ability to communicate equally well with our clients, design professionals and trade partners. I often hear complements on how Eric will go above and beyond to support the success of everyone on a project team. He’s completed some of our most challenging projects – always with great success. Eric is a big reason why Gbuild is where we are today.” – Doug Gianforte, President, Gbuild.
For Eric, Gbuild strikes the right balance between a small and large company. He explains that Gbuild has the benefits of a smaller company that include a tight knit team and opportunities to use a diverse skillset while also offering the advantages of a larger company such as working on complex and challenging projects.
When asked about a particular project that he is proud of, Eric mentioned the 90,000 SF office fit-out for Turn5, Inc. This project included unique design aspects like a bowling alley, video studios, and a total transformation of the building from the inside out. On any given day, Eric was responsible for coordinating as many as 120 people on site to ensure the job was organized and completed smoothly.
Currently, Eric is finishing up the second phase of construction to Villanova University’s Career Center located in Garey Hall. This renovation includes a full mechanical system, adding fire protection to the space, and new technology for virtual employer engagement with students while meeting strict acoustical needs.
When Eric is not working, he enjoys playing hockey in a local men’s league, going fishing offshore, and traveling with his wife, Kelly. One of his favorite places he has visited is Hawaii.
