The Construction Excellence Awards Program is a 20 year joint effort of the State of Delaware and the Delaware Contractors Association. These prestigious awards are to recognize projects that bring distinction, skill, quality and integrity to the construction industry in Delaware
gBuild is proud to once again be selected for two awards for excellence in construction.
The projects awarded are the University of Delaware’s Field Hockey Locker Room and the University of Delaware’s DuPont Laboratory Renovation.
gBuild received the first award for the University of Delaware’s Field Hockey Locker Room project.
The new locker room enables the field hockey team to move its operators to the Bob Carpenter Center and join a wing already occupied by the men’s and women’s basketball programs in addition to the volleyball squad and equipment room. This new space will provide field hockey student athletes with an updated and modern team changing are and player lounge. The locker room features 25 start-of-the-art lockers, lockable storage bins and padded seating areas, wireless internet access and high definition televisions with surround sound.
The second DCA Construction Excellence Award to gBuild was for the renovation of the University of Delaware’s DuPont Hall Laboratories.
These updates included all new HVAC, new flooring, new countertops, new lab casework and chemical fume hoods in two labs, painting and installing new Di water piping.
