Project Highlight – University of Delaware Esports Arena
Gbuild completed renovations on a brand new Esports Arena for University of Delaware. The arena is located in Perkins Student Center and will serve as the official playing ground for the university’s recently established varsity esports team. The space is home to the newest gaming technology, a broadcast booth, a strategy room, and a stage for competition.
Between heavy foot traffic and a glass entrance, this new facility is a show stopping attraction. There are 33 high-performance computers along with large monitors and LED lighting throughout. Gbuild worked closely with Horizon AVL System Integration to seamlessly incorporate the high level technology in this space.
Gbuild was hired on this project as a true CM prior to drawing completion. From there, we worked closely with the university, the architect, and engineer to see this project get done on a fast timeline. Each team member from Scott Payette Architects and DEDC helped ensure the success of this project.
“Gbuild did an outstanding job managing this fast-track high profile project. No pain and suffering: just a well-executed project, a happy design team, and a gratified client.”
